This collection of over ten scrap metal parts of a silver hoard was found in Khafaje. Featuring 14 spiral rings, 15 beads, 1 disc, with many miscellaneous pieces of melted-down metal, the collection could have been used as money or exchange for goods around XXXX. One of silver's largest distinctions was its role as money by weight. It was used as exchange and payment, and purity was also valued often. Below is a slideshow of the different pieces as well as a list of their weights. Many of the smaller pieces have most likely broken from larger units of silver. All the weights may be off by -.002g, as the scale read a 500g and 250g weight as 499.98g and 249.98g respectively.
